GPCo Partner
The GP Provider Company (GPCo) is a Limited Liability Partnership (LLP) between GP Partnerships and Assura. The GPCo is a 50:50 joint venture partnership and each GPCo is led by a Clinical Management Board comprising of local GPs, a Business Director and one representative from the Assura.
GPs are not paid to refer patients into services run by the GPCo. In line with Department of Health policy, patients are given a choice of at least four providers at the point of referral and should they choose to be referred into a service run by the GPCos, the referrer must declare that they have a commercial interest in the GPCo.
