Dermatology Service

Our community dermatology service is an NHS service, free to all patients who are referred by their GP and is funded by NHS Leeds.

What does the service offer?

The Community Dermatology Service provides advice and treatment from a consultant, a GP with a special interest or specialist nurse. If you need medication or a dermatological cream, you will either be issued with a prescription at your appointment or you will be asked to contact your GP to obtain the relevant prescription. Further details will be provided during your consultation.

How do I get an appointment?

If your GP thinks you need to see a specialist regarding a dermatological complaint they will send a referral to a specialist who will assess whether you can be treated in our community service. If your condition can be treated in a community service the referral will be sent directly to us.

When we receive your referral, a member of the administrative team will call you to offer an appointment that is convenient to you. If you require an interpreter, then please indicate this at the time of your booking.
